On the edge of the city of architecture par excellence, the spirit of Andrea Palladio rediscovers the panoramic horizons that have marked his life, where some of his creations have taken shape, in an epic adventure on a Palladian E-Bike.
Passing by the ancient roman theatre of the city and that triumphal arch that signs the beginning of the countryside, we'll leave on our side Villa Valmarana Ai Nani, that lights up with beauty thanks to the frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. We'll be able to see it later, before the end of the journey.
The same for Villa Almerico Capra - also known as La Rotonda - the absolute worldwide famous icon of the villa, that Palladio had the opportunity to freely design thanks to the complete freedom given him by Paolo Almerico: Fame lives here, in the magnificence of a supreme work of art.
Riding along a Bacchiglione River we reach Villa Aeolia and Villa Da Schio, surrounded by an eighteenth- century park around a large avenue of centuries-old plants. For the ones who will add the visit of this villa (extra), large halls still retain the original furnishings and spectacular frescoes dating back to the mid-17th century, accompanied by a special person.
From here the route branches off to more chances: lulled by the most engaging ride, you can enjoy the Beric landscape from above, going then down to the mystical views of Fimon Lake.
Or, you can proceed south toward other villas and pleasant idillic places along the way to an ancient cellar, where eventually you could taste a glass of local awarded wine.
It would be the worthy conclusion to an exciting and special day, having passed from Galileo Galilei to Plato, from the Piraeus port to the pyre of Dido, from Medusa to Charon, from the bloody swamps of the Bacchiglione river to the Elysian fields before immersing in the Lethe river.
